Need to know if any special machine has to be done to these heads for Shaft mount rockers
they are straight out of the box any help appreicated. thanks

Answer,,,,no special machine work required on the new style TFS A-460 18 bolt heads. They have elongated slots for pushrod holes.

All other heads need to have the pushrod hole slotted and moved in the direction of the intake manifold, about .280" to .300". When you do this, the intake pushrod holes will get dang close to the valve cover gasket rail.

Also just wanted to add that my A460 deal has done fine without shaft rockers to this point. 2 engines, 588 and 598. Both used Crower SS stud mount rockers, 7/16 pushrods (598) and Jomar stud girdles. Studs and girdles have worked great on both of mine for the rpm range that the heads and cam worked in.
