Hey all, I just thought I would post a few pics of my junk and show what progress (or lack of) I have made.
It is a 92 coupe with VERY nice black interior. As you can see, 95% of the clear coat has flaked off of the original red paint. I had originally planed on repainting the car red. But after seeing SCJ520's dark green hatchback I was in love.

Anyway, enough with my personal life....I pulled the front clip off to do a little paint work under hood. I also installed a Wolfe racecraft 6 point cage and UPR torque box plates, both upper and lower . I did end up having to change out the passenger door do to some previous body work.
As you can tell I have all of the under hood painting done. I ended up going with a 2006 *cough* GM *cough*Emerald Jewel metallic green. Since the pics were taken I have primed the rest of the car and I hope to get the jams trimmed out in green over the next week or two.

I have been working on the car so much the past month or so I have gotten burnt out on it. I dropped my block and rotating assembly off at the machine shop last week. Maybe once I start seeing this motor go together I will pick back up on the body.

Thanks guys. Yeah Mick, I have been doing alot of swapping as of late. My wife asked if Fedex had a driver dedicated just to me..lol

scj520,I was dead set on going back red just for the simple fact that it would be alot easier . I was roaming through the "post your ride" thread when I seen yours. Needless to say I said screw it...it would be a little more of a pain in the arse, but in the end I will be much happier.

I still need to buy a few more items...converter, carb, radiator , k member and get my trans built. Other than that it's just alot of elbow grease now.

Mick, sending you a PM in few min.

PTR, I'll will be posting more picks and info as I go. I don't know what the deal is on that clear coat...lol I had a factory strawberry 92 with black int. that had perfect clear coat. Thats probably the only mustang I wish I had never sold.

Well after finally being able to get back to work on this thing, it's starting to take shape. I was able to get the cage painted and get my trim work around the doors, windows and truck done.
I will have to say that the cage was a PITA! I was also able to get the skinny kid race cars manual brake conversion done. I also installed the line lock and a adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.
As far as parts go. It's kind been like X-mas around here. I bought a new Quick Fuel 950 carb, aluminum radiator, Flaming river rack and shaft, QA1 k-member and all of my fuel system. My block was supposed to be finished this week. But just like I figured , it's not.
I hope to start doing a little port work on these RPM heads tomorrow . I really want to buy a set of TFS streets, but screw it...I already have these so I'm gonna run'em. If I can't get this thing in the mid 6's on motor I'm going to be very unhappy.

Anyway, I'm glad to get this painting crap out of the way....I'm no painter.

Enjoy pics..Mike
