Which intake manifold( aluminum) will work on a 71 Torino Cobra

with a shaker and allow proper height. I was told a performer. Presently have stealth and have not installed shaker yet.Waiting to get all proper parts. Thanks,,,,Warren.

The problem with the performer will be that it doesn't have CJ sized ports, it will have quite a mismatch with your heads.

Blue Thunder has a CJ dimension dualplane that is
very close to stock CJ height. Trickflow also offers a similar intake.

the original Cobra Jet motor. It is a 71 429 out of a Tbird with alllllthe trimings and am wanting to put a shaker hood assembly on it and was wanting to know basically which intake is the closest height to stock? I had heard the Performer was,,,,Thanks ,,,,Warren.

I agree, I think the RPM or Stealth would be roughly the same height as an original CJ intake.

I am running a performer with ram/air on my 71 Cobra and it sticks my snorkel up as far as I could comfortably go....ARE you sure about the height of the 'rpm' model and the 'stealth';....they appear to be so much taller than mine...yet if they would work , I'd rather have the performance advantage of the latter.dc ps. ....Love the forum...

I have a Performer RPM intake on my 89lx now and
previously I had a iron CJ intake on it and the
RPM intake is about 1.5" taller. The one from
Bluethunder is closer to the right height and is
a beautiful piece, no manufacturers logo, just the firing order. It looks just like an aluminum version of the iron intake. I have one with a dominator pattern for a future engine.

and was just wanting to know if a performer would work with the shaker set up along with which dist. as my present MSD is too tall.....Warren
