Going to go to the track sat night :p , old 466 engine combo ran 11.50's @ 116-117 it was 9.75-1 comp, out of the box RPM heads, small .588 lift flat tap hyd cam, 244 dur @ .050, RPM intake , 750 carb, shift point was 5800, car is the same , still weighs 3300 with driver, 4400 stall, C-4,3.90 gears, 28x11.50 ET streets. new 466 engine combo is 12-1 comp XR292R solid roller, victor intake, out of the box TFS streets, 1050 Quick fuel carb( 4150 pattern) shift point will be 6800 . might it dip into the 10's?

This is tough.......ok screw it....i'll go out on a limb....10.89 @ 125...how is your fuel system...I've only had a couple of beers.........lol..........D

tires are 28x11.50 et streets( 27.8 tall) weather will be 85-88 deg, density altitude is usually 4500 feet or higher ( air sucks here)humidty at 10% also sun will be down as this is a night event

I make a prediction it will make it down the track. I also predict when you get the time slip at the end you will find out what it will run. I have seen to many guy's predict times and MPH and were not even close so I always find out after the run, I hate being disappointed if I don't run the numbers.

I am a little nervous, as bad as I want a 10 sec slip, I could not get a trans shield to fit my car/headers. So I am not 10 sec legal, they will boot me off the track for anything faster than 11.00 :evil: My only hope at this point is a blanket however unless it is made of a fire proof material it will melt because it will be on my collectors. I am going to line up against a car that is always running 11.0's to 11 teens , if I start to pull on him I'll let off . If I can't keep up with him ,..........well I don't want to think about that :roll:

ok here it is 1st run, 1.72 60' 7.11 @ 101.08 1/8th [email protected] 125.33 2nd run 1.68 60' 7.026 @ 101.22 1/8th [email protected] 125.62 third run 1.63 60' [email protected] 101.49 1/8th then I let off at 1000 ft mark as I saw the tech nazi waiting at the pit return lane if I ran in the 10's again :roll: . all these times are with O tuning, out of the box parts, hell I didn't even play with the carb , my timing, or play with any suspension :shock: I think I have a mid 10 sec car here, this was through a full exhaust on et street radials. can't wait for a real set of slicks & open exhaust & some tuning 8)

Good job now get to tuning......right about exactly what i said....now you have work to do to make it run to potential.......hails...D...hell that last run might have been a 10.80 @ 126......woo hoo
