let me get this straight........there's 3 pages of crap on this thread, most of witch is not useful information but just comments. I ask a serious question with all the required details for someone with the know how to be able to answer and your worried about me clogging up a "sticky"? the thread isn't locked, and your not a admin.

Please post your question in the engine tech section and lose the attitude.

Should the sticky thread be cleaned up? Yes.

Should you post your question in the proper place? Yes so it will be seen and answered.

I am not a moderator either.

Just to help your questions get answered you should include the following info when asking for advice on building an engine:

1. Intended use

2. Vehicle info (weight/gearing/trans)

3. Fuel desired to use ( racing gas/av gas/E-85/methonal/pumpgas(include octane available))

4. Parts you already have

5. Proposed Budget

6. Location this may help to find a good machine shop

These are very common things required for any decent advice.

PS I think this would be a good sticky!
WTFlock is a sticky??

When I built mine I listened to Charlie,Lem and Kaase it pays to swallow the ego. I'm putting over 1600 to the wheels and it's because I paid attention.

I do not think all newbies are wrong. I think many think differently or have other ideas and experiences. I know I'm highly into compartmentalize builds.Every unit is going to reflect my thoughts plus cost efficiency I might find during the process. But I definitely value seeing successful builds other folks have. Why turn a blind eye to success?
