best custom carb

Guys, who sells the best custom dominator carbs? I'm sure just about everyone can agree that one or two shops or manufacturers are the best at building carbs for particular combos. I run a stroker 540 cubic inch and run a 250ft. mud drag.

Competition Carburetion, Bob Oliver 775 331 5609 is who I use. He builds a very nice carburetor package but there are others such as BLP, Braswell etc.
I prefer Pro systems, 727-490-5717 they wont disappoint.
X2 for Bob Oliver at Competition Carbureters.

There is no single BEST in every combination ... SOME are more consistantly better at getting them right than some others.

Randy, I guess thats what I mean. Not to single one company or offend anyone, give me what you think are the top 2 or 3. I know there are many that will sell you an almost out of the box carb and really don't understand the actual mechanics of the carb and calibration from a to z. I can't afford trial and error on builders so give opinions everyone. I'm sure we'll here mostly on just a couple 2 or 3 companies for people wanting the best and most consistent builders. Most of you professional engine builders know first hand so lets hear it.

Glad to see Dave and others give their opinion.
I'm kinda partial to the AEROSOL BILLETS that Roger builds over at C&S.
I have used C&S for some boot referanced carbs. Nickerson for other applications mostly on dual quad setups as its hard to match a pair of carbs.
Really good carburetor packages will run well under all conditions of load, throttle position and RPM not just WOT and idle. Also, a good package will have a high level of build quality. Here's a page that I put together for my shop website showing a few things to look out for on a low quality(junk) carburetor build:

I really don't know because I buy parts and build "custom only" versions for customers.
Price range is the only criteria for that.

IF I had to pick one, I would probably go with BLP.
I have purchased several carbs from Pro-Systems and have been very satisfied. My latest is a pair of 1050 Dominators that I have on a Weiand tunnel ram intake on a 605 in3 motor. This is a street application in a Cobra replica. The carbs ran perfect out of the box and the only adjustments I have made are idle speed and float level. Patrick at Pro-Systems will program a carb(s) for your specific application.
