What's the biggest tires you can squeeze in a 72 Lincoln mark iv wheelwell? Tnx...pb72

Road race or drag race style ? 18" or 22" ? 8" wide or 14" wide ? I have 255-35-20 in front an 275-040-20 . Those tires handle corners in that Thunderbird .
