BLOCK IS SOLD

Boss 429 cylinder block set up for drag racing. 4-bolt mains on 1, 2, 3, & 4, priority mains oiling system, screw-in freeze plugs, etc. Observations are as follows: currently at 4.44" bore, block has sleeves in 2 & 6 and they look to be properly installed and the sonic checker shows they are thick-wall sleeves (over 0.200" wall at 4.44" bore), water jackets filled solid to deck, oil system currently set up for wedge heads (this is reversible), oiling system modifications to further enhance the priority mains oiling, o-ringed cylinder decks, head studs, has been align-honed, etc.

Currently at 4.44" bore and needs to be bored. Since this block is filled solid, 4.50" bore should be possible which means there are lots of overbores available--3 overbores if you use "shelf" piston bore sizes, at least 6 overbores if you use racing oversizes--so there's a lot of service life left in this block. Yes, the special plugs for the passenger side lifter gallery are included. The main bearing shells in the photos are not included.

If you are building a 4-figure hp engine then this block is a great alternative to the more expensive (~$2500 & up) aftermarket blocks.

$1350 + shipping. Serious inquiries feel free to call directly and ask questions. Please note this is a sales thread, not a commentary thread, thanks.

Note: $1350 is the same price as an HFD 4-bolted 2-bolt D0VE block with Stage 1 oiling mods, etc, and this Boss block also has additional features such as an o-ringed deck, priority mains oiling, 4-bolt main cap on #1, hard block'd, more block material, head studs, etc. Great option for a high horsepower drag racing engine.
