Boss 429 Info

As one of the first posters on this site, I offer any knowledge or first hand info. on the Boss 429 that I may have. Such as finding out that with the stock length push rods, the Boss engine uses FE lifters. This was found after ordering cam, springs and lifters and the "experts" sending 385 series lifters. Just a "first hand" experience.

There is no oiling through the pushrods. The individual lifter bores have a large oiling area and the rocker shafts oil directly.

interesting... now I think I need to go and check mine.
out of curiousity, where did you get your cam and ect from?

mine was ordered from isky- sure hope they got it right

(checked mine against the part #'s- no problem with isky, right stuff) 8)
