Well I've had two messages from two brand new forum members. Seems scammers are taking pics of an old M/T Boss 429 tunnel ram and posing it as theirs. Liars and thieves are cast into The Lake of Fire! I've come to the conclusion that the Weiand 460 tunnel ram is in fact the same casting that can be machined for either motor. I bought a brand new Weiand 460 tunnel ram from Summit for 585$. I'll change the intake face angle and the center mounting holes to have a new Boss 9 intake. I can post pics later if anyone is interested.

Please update us on machining the Weiand Tunnel Ram to fit a Boss 429. I'm looking at putting one a '57 Ford sedan with a Boss 429 to race in this current vintage drag racing events.

if you are going to try to make a t-ram from a 429 wedge fit,its a lot of work.i did a victor intake and it did fit and run great on a boss 509,but in the end it cost me almost $900 in 2010.you have to weld on the flange for reinforcing it after you machine the intake face, and to modify/make new most of the bolt hole bosses.the boss intake face is a differnt angle than the wedge.
the reallity is that the guys who are asking stupid money for them will NEVER get it,because no one needs or wants them for a real boss car.keep looking for one,or use a kaase single 4 untill you find one.
if you know spmeone that can tig weld,and machine the face,it can be done.
also welded flat aluminum between runners to support intake face.once you mill it to fit engine it gets pretty thin!

Both manifolds start with the same casting. The intake flange is super thick when machined for a 460 and still very thick when machined for a Boss 429. I own mark's machine shop in Beaumont TX so I don't have to pay to have this done. When I'm through it will look just like the Weiand Boss part #

I want to buy a tunnel ram intake that will fit the Kasse Boss 9 or original Boss 429. Weiand, Offy, or other. I'm in Beaumont TX and my phone is 409-201-5608. There is one on Ebay way overpriced at 2400. I'm looking to pay about 800 for a cast or some more money for a sheet metal version. Mark
