Bought this motor as an assembled 545 with older cobra jet heads(script looking casting) sold roller sud girdles etc etc
I took it apart to take a look at things and freshen it up because it was an unknown to me.
after taking it apartI saw this and I have never seen a 460 block with this chunk missing.
Casting flaw? Junk block? Ok for low spring pressure street motor?
I have already put it back together in another block because I chickened out but now Im wondering if this is worth sticking in a 65 f250 as a tow vehicle for a race trailer.

IMO not a problem or concern, a typical knock-out and no critical strength lost in that location. I'd use it for anything that's suitable for that type block.
