I'm trying to decide what to build 521 0r a 545 drag strip only with race gas
I have
Dove 2 bolt block
BME 6.7 aluminum rods
C9 head with 2 19 1.76
I WAS thinking the 4.3 stroke would be better on the 2 bolt block or should I go with the 4.5 stroke
Hear what I came up with do you see any problem with this combo
4.3 stroke
SRP 150727 1.42 ch will the skirt on piston clear the crank
BME rods
Head to piston clearance set at .060

At 521 or 545 inches ported C9's are not going to make power anywhere CLOSE TO 7k rpm.

Build a 521 with steel rods and keep the power peak at about 6500 rpm

Check the torque band with the setup you are thinking about and see which one works for where you want to shift and run thru the traps at.

That was a hypothetical rotating assembly for a 521 not 545
4.3 stroke 6.7 rod 1.42 ch that leaves the piston .030 in the hole
.030 compressed head gasket . That will give .060 piston to head clearance
68cc chamber that will give it 13.43 : 1 compression
That was just my theory I'm not a engine builder just asking for opinions on this set up or should I build a 545 or scrap the hole ideal

Build the 545, there is no substitute for cubic inches. Have a 545 in 87 Mustang with ported Dove heads and mild roller (260's duration, 660's lift) that runs mid 6's and mid 10's.

You're looking at, rule of thumb, one HP per cubic inch. So you do whatever will accomplish your goal, be of sufficient quality, and takes the least amount of money out of your wallet.
