Hi All,
Hope everyone is staying safe all around the world in this current climate.
I just bit the bullet and ordered myself a set of boss 9 heads. The guys at JKRE have been great to deal with.
Just wondering who else has built themselves a Boss 9 engine.
My plans are;
521 cubes
Hydraulic roller cam
4500 Kaase manifold
Holley Sniper EFI 4500
Goal of 750 to 800hp.
Look forward to hearing about other peoples builds and advise a long the way.
Regards,
Tim

Sounds like a great build... I'm building a 521 as well, my 429 block is in getting machined. I may take some of your build and use it for mine as this is all new to me. Let me know how you like the Boss 9 heads.

Hi mate,
All new to me as well, I've only ever had small blocks in the past.
Due to the current state of our dollar in Australia it will be slow going for a bit but I can't wait to have it built.
I'm starting with a D9 block.

If you are looking for 800Hp with 521" I would be going with a solid roller cam. You are going to have to RPM it past the hyd roller comfort zone. Sounds like a cool project.

Hey Boss 429, you used to have some ties with Todd Millers Boss 429 heads. Todd seems to have gone off the radar. He had a web site years back but I think it's gone. Is he still in the business and if so is there any info online about his product lineup. Thanks Pete.

Up and coming project. 598" C&C block, Boss head (TM or Kaase), drysump, Liberty 5 speed. Want to make 1000-1050 HP 91 octane or E85. It will be going in a 71 mustang. Just starting to layout a plan for it.

takes a lot to make a REAL 970hp na on 92 octane. Tm head might, jk head I dont think so. TM head can be bought with a better intake port the the jk head and you will need that.

what Intake do you plan on using?
