OK here goes, Can a C6 handle close to 900 horse in a 3000 to 3500 pound vehicle. Or is it glide time. also cost comparison. Just getting ideas for future build. but getting very close.
Thanks guys for any help.

It can handle that power level very easily if built correctly. The C6 is the strongest automotive automatic and also about the heaviest. It's also one of the most difficult transmissions to build correctly and shift timing problems are the cause of about 99% of all parts breakage.

With that said in a drag race application a Powerglide will be quicker and faster than a C6 with everything else about right, converter gearing etc so it's probably the better option. The reasons are simple, lighter parts and most importantly only making one shift. The Powerglide while certainly not stronger is easy to build too.

I would talk to frank on here I would say both will work you just have to put the right parts in both. Hope this helps you out a little.
