c8ve heads need help

i bought some c8ve heads for around $300 last year that came off a 514 i dont know much about them other than the valves are ferrea competition valves 2.19 intake and 1.80 exhaust, no exhaust bump in them, had 1.7 roller rockers on them with factory guide plates.I'm new to performance engine building and was wondering how good they were and how to tell if any porting and polishing has been done

Depending upon the quality of the work ... those heads are a good start for a high power, street/strip type build.
They won't compete with most of the new aluminum offerings in the marketplace today.
