Hows It Guys, I have a set of Ford Racing alloy valve covers on my 562" BBF. I have set up a Moroso vac pump on the engine plate so need to weld a sealable filler cap and a 8AL fitting nipple over the 2 existing breather holes. Ive heard mixed reports but was wondering if these can be ali tig welded??

You could... however they make AN fittings that are made to do that that has a nut on each side to clamp down. That is how most do it. I can get you some more info on those if you want. Just send me an email to [email protected] and I will send you some info.

If you look closely at the engine at the top of the page (my old engine), you'll see that the oil breather hole has been welded. It was TIG welded. There were no issues.

Yeah, you can weld them. They don't weld like a piece of aluminum plate or a sheet aluminum valve cover would though. We welded the fitting from the back side.
