I just read this story on CNN.com.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/07/14/arizona.grand.canyon.death/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

In the story they are saying it was a suicide but I was wondering if maybe the driver was simply following Mapquest or his GPS receiver!

"I know it seems like we're going the wrong way but the GPS says........"!

Ha! People rely too much on that stuff!! They are good most of the time, but a map is better soem times!!

We had unloaded at a dock with another driver that was using GPS. He was sent to a reload, then 20 mins later we were sent to the same place. His GPS routed him through all these back roads, we looked at the map and took the freeway. It was only about a half hour drive for us, we got there, backed into the dock, got loaded and we were just rolling out of the gate when he pulled in. He couldn't believe his wonderfull GPS let him down!!

I guess its like Regan used to say, "Trust but verify."
