Congratulations are in order.

Charlie is en route to Washington D.C. to "give his daughter's hand in marriage". Charlie, enjoy your visit and most of all behave yourself!

Dave.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. We have lot's of family coming in from all parts of the country. I'll be seeing you all next week at the BB Ford Bash.

I couldn't make a road trip without dropping in and making a courtesy visit to some of our customers and friends. It was good to see Travis Rice and his car, and I heard the engine run that he bought from Phillip Oakley. It's a 598 C-460 headed alum. block engine and is a twin to Bobby Small's. It has a set of my adaptors on it with the TFS A-460 tunnel ram on it and a pair of Quick Fuel 1150 cfm carbs on it. It's hitting a mean lick, and there's a certain Mopar Hemi that is scheduled for a match race, that's in trouble.

Also David/Lem, I was able to visit with our 'ol friend Andy Wright. The 500 C.I.D. engine that we delivered 3 years ago, is still going strong in his 1967 Mustang. The breaking news is that Andy has just finished building a new 2007 Mustang with a 572 C.I.D. engine and a set of our TFS A-460 heads. He fired it up today for the first time and Jason and I were able to hear it run. It's been a big thrash, but Andy is planning on bringing both cars to our BB Ford Bash. In this part of Virginia, they run Mountain Motors heads up, with the only requirement being a PowerGlide transmission.

I'm going to try to swing by Darryl Jewel's and visit with him. He's building a new combo with our Kaase P-51 heads. However, I don't know if time will permit.

Later,

Good seeing you again Charlie also. Glad you could visit a while and got to see the car. It is a heavy old boat but should turn even more heads now. Goes to the painter tommorow for the hood and a few small bubbles on the bottom of the door. I opened the back of the hood about 2" more on each side and it really made it look much more proportioned now. I went over the valves hot like you said and tweaked them a little, also took care of the linkage nuts and the rich at idle thing and it has come around quite nicely. Hope the car and install were what you expected, Congrats on the new father in law title for a second time, I wish them both well.

Congrats Charlie, hopefully everything went well.

Sorry I missed you last week, but it was good talking to you on the phone. I just got back from the race in NJ this past week, so that is finally out of the way.

I'll be starting on the 557 motor once it comes back from the machine shop later this week. I'm still hoping to get the motor together, in the Mustang II and make a trip out to Kentucky this fall.

Good luck with the BB Bash. I'll definately be up to coming next year. :D

Thanks again for everything.

Darryl
