CVF Racing alternator bracket review

Last March I purchased the high mount CVF alternator bracket, water pump pulley, and crank pulley.
I finally got around to installing it and am a bit disappointed. I read quite a few positive reviews so I'm a bit confused.
The pulleys are great. Nice machine work and finish. The bracket has some issues.
The instructions should definitely indicate the lower bolt that is removed from the water pump to mount the bracket goes into the coolant. Quite an unexpected mess when coolant poured out. I'm not sure why they would use that bolt when there is a threaded hole right below it that would work perfectly with no leaks. Because they use the bolt into the coolant along with an aluminum spacer the potential for a coolant leak there seems significant.
Additionally, the two Allen head 5.5" x 5/16 bolts are a little too short for my comfort. They BARLEY grab a few threads at best. The pic below is with the bolt just pushed in and not threaded at all and you can see it's almost fully seated. Because of their length I had to special order two longer Allen head bolts.
Simply using the adjacent threaded hole (circled in red) and providing proper length bolts would take my review from poor to excellent. There may be a reason that isn't used maybe other accessories usually mounted to it. Admittedly I do not know.

Thanks for the review. I was actually looking at these and the March set-ups. Will definitely take your review into consideration before purchasing.

Like you say,the pulleys are fine but their brackets don't make the cut IMO.It's like their machine work is excellent but flunked geometry in school.Too many bolts, spacers, washers, turnbuckles, etc. I'm afraid it's another case of where sbc engineering is modified to work for everything.Just my opinion

Bummer is now I cant use the car until I get the bolts which I had to special order. I thought the car would be down for a day. With the holidays etc. screwing up shipping now its quite awhile.
I did call theyre tech support and I kid you not, was told the bolts were long enough and that even the use of different water pump gaskets can be the problem. These are Fel Pro gaskets and if you are cutting it that close then you need a longer bolt. I had to get 6" and may have to shorten them if they bottom out.
6" bolts a little too long. Had to cut then to 5-3/4".
I forget to mention the threads on one side if the tensioner were galled right out if the box and they had to ship me a replacement.
No anti-sieze on stainless threads

Hey man I just bought this kit, I experienced this as well but I had a strange issue where the alternator pushed against the valve cover and the pulley sticks out and 1/8 past the water pump pulley. Did you also experience this?
To get a perfect alignment a shim is usually needed.
