I had an Emergancy Monday and had to call on my truck for a 100 miles until I got to the Hospital. (Everything is fine now)

I noticed a couple of things, first the transmission seems to slip a little when it shifts throught the gears. It almost acts like the truck bounces when with converter is locked and the pedal is open 100%. The truck seems to be speed limited to 95mph. (I don't know if it was just the truck getting light from hitting bumps or what)

I also noticed this last month when I was pulling a trac-ho. At first I thought I had the load wrong but no matter how I adjusted the load it still had a little bit of bounce.

(You might could say it has more of a tug to it. Yet it's not noticable in normal driving.)

2007 50,000mile F250 2wd with 6.0

I just wonder if I should take it in to my dealership and tell them?

Those 5r100's have an adaptive strategy, you do anything from the norm with it the pcm will make the tranny parameters fit those conditions. You go back to the norm it has to relearn to go back to those parameters............if that makes any sense lol.

If you tranny tech at the dealer is also the diesel guy he prolly doesn't have time to dick with it.............which reminds me........why am I on here and not putting the STC fitting in that 6.0??? :)

Why would it matter if the Diesel Tech is Busy? "Quality is Job 1" :D:D

A. Is this is a problem?
B. If it is a problem should I wait until it gets worse? Being that I would have to explain to them that it only does it under heavy load.

I think there is a TSB for the bucking when loaded, requires a PCM recalibration. If your happy with you fuel mileage don't get it done though.

Again, what am I doing on here lol. Lem be callin' soon.........:D

I was able to get to the Hospital quick enough with it limited to 95. That was way fast enough and I was only able to go that fast in straight aways without traffic. FYI My wife had major bleeding and they was rushing her into surgery and they wanted me there as fast as I could get there. So I could see her before she went in. Not a very good feeling when you get a phone call like that! I would have melted the engine down if it had not been limited.

Had to make another run to the emergancy room. Except this time I took the Honda which isn't speed limited. 120mph and wasn't slowing down.

Jones, hope the Misses is doing OK. Sounds like some serious things going on for her. Hope all works out good for her and you, Pete.

Jones, take it easy, we dont want someone calling us about you the way they did your wife. Slow it down some, there wont be but very little time difference, if any, running that speed compared to 75 or so. You wont do her any good at all if you are in a bed down the hall. OR------in that cold room!

We are ok for the time being, just have to get the bleeding to stop. I am just here with her in the hospital room on my I phone.

I agree with the speeding part. But it was a long straight away with no other cars. To much traffic to go very much faster than 70mph in other areas. I am confident with my driving, but you never know what some one else is going to do.
