I have a timing cover with the plugged up dipstick tube. I twisted the plug and it broke off about 1/2 way down. How do I get the rest of it out? My drill bits aren't long enough to go all the way through it from the topside and even using a right angle drill, I can't get a good straight shot at drilling it from the bottom. I've ordered a new dipstick tube for it and since I'm not sure of the diameter of the tube, may wait until I have it in hand to do any serious drilling.

Thanks,

Jim

The timing cover is off the engine, so no worries about chips.

I bought a 12" 1/4" bellhangers bit last night; it will be long enough it it's not too large in diameter.

Thanks,

Jim
