You asked Carl already for help, so just bite the bullet and have him help you get a pair of carbs that you need and a fuel system that can keep up with the demand of the carbs. Don't know where you're getting info on having to turn carbs to cure back bowls running dry?

Using a Victor with a Dominator is better than a tunnel with a Dominator.

Weiand made a top, but it is rare. It is possible to adapt the Chevy top. One you want to talk to is Gary Blair as he has done that conversion.

Here is a recent thread on the issue where the Ford top was found for the OP:

If I was you I'd talk to Gary Blair or Rich (Boss429). Both of these guys are long time Ford guys/racers and will point you in the right direction.

Any questions feel free to PM me.

Weiand makes, or made one. It doesn't work well in my opinion.

A customer of mine wanted to run it on the engine I built for him, but I decided to dyno test a std non-rpm Performer against it.

The engine was a 500HP 550 lb/ft deal. At the end of the three day session, the Performer beat the tunnel ram by approx 18HP and 35 lb/ft.

This is what it looks like.

Carl you don't know the difference between a Weiand and Offenhauser TR? The TR in that picture is an Offenhauser, not a Weiand.

I just cannot imagine how bad someone could mess up on a TR to do better with a Performer. This is some kind of joke right???

I know it's not you Carl, but that engine looks like a mechanical ET (as in ET phone home), LOL.

It does look kind of like ET, doesn't it? LOL! That's how he had it set up before installing the engine I built for him. It's been a few years, but I think we ended up going with a Stealth because he wanted something that worked better than that POS tunnel ram, but taller than the Performer.

That's an offy Tunnel Ram. The Weiand is much better. I know a guy that has one on his 66 F-100 with a pair of AFB's. Real smooth, nice street manners.
