i pulled a 460 and transmission out of a 74 lincoln, and put it in a 1970 ford f-100 truck. the kickdown lever that came with the 460 will not work because of clearance issues. the kickdown lever that came with the truck wont work either. i have driven with out a kickdown lever but it gets annoying when i want to pass the lil old lady going 45mph in the fast lane. are there any cheap and/or simple solutions to getting a kickdown lever that will work for my application. i have an edelbrock performer series 750cfm carb and performer rpm intake.

Lokar makes a nice braided stainless cable. I think I paid about $60-70 for mine. It works fine on my C-6.

Stop being lazy and pull it down to second. Works for me.
