Just wondering how fast people have been with a stock stroke 460 using factory head castings on motor. Post up what you have in your garage or what you have seen at the track.

What's a "factory head"? Iron? Aluminum? Factory valve locations/angels? Available for purchase from Ford? D0VE/D3VE? DO0R-E? A429? SCJA? C460?

Wow! That's hauling ***! I have a '93 Mustang that has been 6.24 in the
1/8th. It is a stock crank, stock casting headed 0.060 over 460. I am very happy with how fast it is on its first season out. I have a few more things I need to do to get a little more out of it. I think a 5.99 would be awesome!

This car has seen a best of 9.02 @ 148 with the 466 in good fall air last year. It's going quite a bit faster now, but we put in a bigger motor this year.

It's a tube chassis car originally built by Alston Chassisworks then redone by Steve Everett (Steve1071 on here). Steve also built the motors for it. Trans is a 1.76 glide and gears are 4.56. The car weighed 2280, no driver with the iron head 466. It now has a 557 ci 4 bolt main D0VE block with extensively ported Edelbrock heads (bought them from Bruno at the other site). We tested last week and ran 8.60s but the motor and suspension needs some tuning.

Good luck with your build! I'm a big fan of T Bird race cars.
