The term "ALL BRANDS" is exactly why I just cancelled my reservations in Commerce. I planned to attend an ALL FORD EVENT and now they like the NMRA have opened up to the bowties. We lost the World Ford Challange in order to let brand X into the mix. Heck I can go to my local drag strip any weekend and race bowties to the odds of about 30 to 1. And besides the BRAND X cars will more than likely be all local people and will have the home track advantage just like what happened last year at the BBF BASH 1 when it was opened up to Brand X cars when the Ford guys went O for 8 in the first round. Needless to say I left the track and went to the motel to cool off. Please keep our ALL Ford events ALL Ford.

Oh by the way I have sent an E-mail to FFW and told them exactly what I thought of their new program that has also done away with what used to be called PRO 5.0 but in the last few years has been called PRO-MOD- 5.0. FFW has really let me down, you don't see super chivvie adding brand x car to their show.

My question is "why can't FFW and the NMRA get together and make the rules for both bodies exactly the same where cars can run both events without adding weight or some other crazy things they have to do. It would add to the car count at both FFW and NMRA events. What I am going to miss most is being able to watch the IHRA Pro Stock cars take on the FFW guys that run small block turbo cars. For the last three or four years they have averaged more than a dozen cars in the Pro Mod 5.0 class because they were paying out 30 grand to win but now that is gone and so am I.

Bobby, if it helps, I see it exactly as you do. If I wanted to see X, I would go to Super Shitty Sunday, which I NEVER have.

The term(to increase car counts) in certain classes means, I want more money!

Posts: 8,126 Team Accufab shakes up Super Chevy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Super Chevy came to Fontana, CA this weekend. Instead of their normal fuel coupe show, Roger invited the Pro Street racers from the PSCA to run in exhibition, Fords included. The two Accufab cars were there, Ed Thornton and his black '57 Chevy and John Mihovets in the 281" Cougar. John has been on a tear lately with a best of 6.35 @ 222. Ed's had a few issues so far this season but they got ironed out on Saturday and Sunday. In their match race, Ed ran a 6.34 @ 228 and John ran 6.36 @ 219. John won with a small hole shot but it was a heck of a pass for both cars.

Can't wait for the Las Vegas PSCA event on April 25-27. It will be on YWN with live streaming video plus behind the scenes stuff too.

No problem. I knew about it but figured you would never believe it if I told you. I agree that it should be an all Ford show, but in todays economy and fuel prices we may see more of this. This is why NMRA/NMCA created the Super Bowl and WFC is now open to all. Car counts everywhere are down. You go to some events and there are only 4-5 Outlaw or Pro cars. The cost today of travel is effecting everything.
NMRA deleted the Pro 50 class. FFW is only running Pro and Outlaw at some events where they usually get a good car count. I was at my local track, Atco on Sunday. The track owner told me he expects his best year since people are not traveling. Hope to see you in Atlanta.

I just cancelled my reservations in Reynolds, Georgia (NMRA) and Commerce, Georgia (FFW). The cost of attending events like these some 5 hours drive away for me will take money away from what I would have to spend to attend the Owensboro event. I plan to get re-certified and make license runs on Friday the 25th so I will stay home and save my money. Good luck at Commerce FFW.
