Hey fellas,
Currently doing my first engine rebuild. I have a D1VE A2A block D3VE A2A heads. Block is currently at the machine shop getting cleaned up, bored .030, crank balanced and polished etc. I’m putting in wiseco forged flat top pistons 4.390 with valve pockets and speed master I-beam rods 6.605. My next step is to tackle the heads and choose my cam, lifters, springs and rockers. I’m going to port and polish the heads then take them to the machine shop for larger valves(for sure exhaust 1.75ish) machined for even height, bronze guide liners..
Is machining for rocker studs a must? Also am I missing anything else that you may suggest for these heads?
Also how big of a cam can I go with flat top pistons and larger valves? Don’t want things smashing into each other.

Going in a 1967 f100 2wd short bed.

Go to Scotty’s site (mad porter) he has a lot of info there.

Your questions will have to be more exact or to the point to get an answer.
How much lift will it take? Good question, you’re changing pistons, valve size, who knows without doing a lot of math.
Speaking of which, Wallace Racing - Automotive Calculators is a good site too for auto math.

Good luck😉
