I am behind the eight ball when it comes to new tech in drag racing, I have been away from it for 30 yrs. My question is were is the best location to locate fuel cell in full tube chassis car runing on racing fuel, front or rear. I was told if I ran alchhol to mount up front and racing fuel in rear. Its a 800hp motor and a 1150 dom.

In my opinion any drag car that has the room for a front mounted fuel cell should put it up front regardless of the fuel type used, just makes more sense to me.....

Plumbing the system cost less because of much less total fuel feed/return line lengts needed.

Easier on the fuel pump(s) since it doesn't have to push the weight of all the fuel in the long feed line from the trunk foward against the launch forcess trying to force the fuel backward.

If you use a cell that's a little larger than what's actually needed to make a full pass you can add/remove some of the extra fuel from pass to pass in effect using the extra fuel as a small amount of adjustable ballast.

Just remember that a front mounted cell must be protected by a chassis structure/bar/guard/loop of some kind made of at least 1 1/4" OD tubing with a wall thickness of at least .058" (moly) or .118" (mild steel).
