I've noticed Holley has gone to a check valve in the bowls for the squirters instead of the old check ball. What is better? It seems the old ball would last longer.... Performance advantage?

They flapper is supposed to instantly seal, where the ball has to move a bit to seal. The flapper is more prone to damage by some fuel mixes tho.

The flappers generally last quite a while. But like any thing rubber that contacts gasoline, it can deteriorate. They are cheap enough to replace often if you need to.

Ok, that's about what I thought. I have boxes of bowls and could convert this carb to the other bowls if needed. I'll just use them as-is. Thanks!
