Van tells me he took a bone stock unmodified 1968 C8VE 460, disassembled, ball-honed the cylinders, ground the OEM valves, replaced only the bearings, new OEM-style link timing chain, super mild (~0.480") mile RV cam, (nothing else) and reassembled. He did 10.30's in the quarter mile all season long....not so much as a spark plug change. Unported heads, one carb, pump gas.like the title says how fast have you ran with unported c8v3 c9ve and dove heads !

This was in the 1970's. It was a 1500-pound Altered (+ driver). Bantam body, he fabbed the tube chassis, Ford 9-inch from a truck that he narrowed, 3.89:1.
Wow, do you know how heavy the vehicle was?
