The Mustang II front end in my car is so low that the headers are 2" from the ground.

I need to know the best way to raise the front end about 4 inches.

I tried cranking on the coil overs, but didn't get much results. I can't see any part numbers on the coils;
they were on the car when I bought it.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Jim

Did you try to adjust them with car on the ground? It should be adjusted with the car in air and make sure to oil the threads. But I don't think you will get 4''. I would look into the drop spindles too.

Thanks ...

Didn't know they were supposed to be adjusted in the air...

How do you keep track of the new settings, count the turns ?

Also, does releasing the spring pressure raise the heighth ? Counter clockwise?

Forgive me, I'm noob to all this.

I'm looking for a set of stock spindles now.

Cutting the frame rail is past my level of experience....

Thanks,

It looks like you have a lot of adjustment left, get 2 spanner wrenches and loosen the bottom coil over jam nut then with the car jacked up count turns raising the car. then tighten the jam. Put car on the ground drive around the block then on a level surface measure ride height on both sides adjust as needed. right to left.
