First i like to thank chilly for given us a new place to post good job. I changed my screen name from BZstang to bobby588 and ther's a good reason for this. I took the 572 apart to send the piston's down to lem to get them fitted for the new block. #5 piston had a melt down it also had a crack going into the ring land, I was hoping that they could of been fix because we where going to do some work on these piston's, but they are beyond repair. Why did this happen, because i did NOT prepp the piston i didn't grind the thin metal away and i didn't round the sharp edge's shame on me i new better. Hopefully this info can save sombody some cash on a future engine build.
