:D LOL VERY NICE JEFF! I saw a pic of The Bomb yesterday! One of the guys we race with is trying to get us to got the 4X4 Jamboree so he was showing us pics from last year and his boy had his pic taking in your truck!

Derrick
Thanks GUYS!

Derrick,

Small world isn't it!! I always try to leave the truck open to help the people who come out to the races get a closer look. If I see kids looking at it or getting their picture taken next to it I always offer to let them get inside, the kids like it and I figure it's good for the sport.

Last year we raced on Thursday I think at Indy and were camped between several blower cars. Couldn't get over the amount of people that came past the blower cars and walked into our camp on Sat and Sunday only to ask "When do you guys run!" I guess it's because they can relate to a full sized truck like they drive on the street!

Derrick did you guys take the weekend off? We weren't going to race but had to redeem ourselves against a certain Chevy. That's the only reason we went. When we weren't running right a couple weeks ago they beat us and then kinda bragged about it. So yesterday they were running good and we were still able to beat them by a whole second!

They packed up and left right after they saw where they placed! So it was a good day!!

Yes Rich I kinda kept it low keyed!?:p

Click on the picture below for the video. No it's not in slow motion!!

Sorry about your axle. Glad the points still worked out for you RICH!

was wondering about that one, never seen it b4.are they from down your way? do you happen to know the name of the guy in our class who had the car? i see i ended up last.which will really irk me if they dont take his points away.their points are up from yesterday already
Rich, funny you should ask!! They are my neighbors !! Not a bad guy at all. That purple truck got a default win basically (3 weeks ago) against us and his crew runs with it claiming fame.

What really sucks I have had to help tune their truck for them the last three years!! I have listened to that thing run when they test it! After repeatedly listening to the stumbles, slow reving, missing, I help them out.

Don't know the guys that shouldn't have been in the class. They are from IOWA. Cedar Rapids area maybe? But the name of their truck/Car/Buggy is "GO DEVIL"

Hope you can get Sandon to change that cause they were a 6 or 7 class machine!
eh second sucks but on the other hand you are about 1500 lbs heavier so i wouldnt be to bothered about that. thanks for the invite wish we could have went just havent had time to work on the truck and im in the middle of putting another truck together to run the vaccuum classes hopefuly catch up with you later in the month

Dexter
Jeff,
We didn't take the weekend off but we didn't have a very good one! Kasey got called out of bounds twice both times it was really questionable her truck was running the best it has all year too! I ruined my record at the Adair track. Until yesterday I was the only truck to win the Pro Stock Class since they started up the track two years ago! I Had a fuel system problem again it would launch hard off the line best it has all year go down make a perfect corner and bla it would run out of fuel. Tore everything apart today and found the fuel pump screen was plugged with red shop towel fibers! I used red rags to clean the tank earlier this week since we switched fuel! My own dang fault for not catching it but o well we will get em next weekend! Are you going to the 4X4 Jamboree this year?

Derrick
Cool deal !!!
Wow Derrick, hard to believe that could shed enough to plug your screen like that. It's a little scary actually how sensitive fuel systems can be! Well at least you found it!! I bet that makes you feel a lot better!

Too bad about your wife also! especially when she was running so well!
I have a question for you. You have spoken before about getting called out of bounds. Why are they such sticklers about that? The crowd is clear back away from what I've seen and there is no real advantage to going out is there? It's not like your cutting the corners or something, is it? When I'm the line judge I always try to give the racer the benefit of the doubt. Most racers don't want to win by a DQ, the crowd doesn't want to see a truck DQ'ed so most everyone doesn't want to see DQ's.

Well I'm sure next race you'll get back to your winning ways! Sucks that you lost your track winning streak!

What Jamboree are you speaking of? Rochester Mn? Who is putting it on?

See ya,

Took my truck out on a 1/2 mile stretch of dirt road today ran it hard and had no problems. It was hooking real hard even though I left four wheel black marks on the dirt road :D There is no real advantage to going out of bounds if anything it hurts you but it is just another challenge for the drivers and they don't want the trucks to lane swap half way down the track. Even though I have seen it happen a few times trucks get a little out of had at the same time and collide  not good! I am talking Rochester MN August 28th and 29th. I may be wrong but I think it is the first time they have had one in Rochester. Its the same people that put on the jamboree in Indiana. www.4wheeljamboree.com

Derrick
Here is an in truck vid of my test session on the dirt today. Kind of neat I don't know how fast I was actualy running but i'm sure my cut tires are not Z rated :D It would have helped if the curve wasn't there so I could have really stayed on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lwRoVzsjCY

Derrick
Thats a lot of testing!! Runs good for sure, your track speed is unbelievable! I like your cameras set up !! I'm going to have to do that next race!!

Thanks for the invite!! Rochester is a little too far out of our range ! It's probably over 8 hours there!! SOUNDS LIKE FUN THOUGH! Our truck is built for their rules too!!

Glad you got your truck fixed, sounds to me like it's all cleaned out of red lint fibers!!

See ya,

Jeffro
Seems I'm alittle behind in posting these days LOL. Hey Jeff, that pit looked great until the end, wasn't that hole there last year as well? Did they fix it and it reappeared? That sure could send a guy for a nasty ride!!

Track aside, the truck still looked awesome, 3 tenths slower then something 1500lbs lighter is a pretty tight race!!
Thanks Myron!

Good memory !! Yes that hump was there last year. They chisel plow it and disc it and it still comes back!

That little thing beat us by only 3 thousands which is about 1/3 of a tenth. That would be less than a bumper probably?

It was close anyway. Sure wish we could throw a pro tree into the equation, I can usually make up the difference on the line!

Myron any video of your squirrely hard packed passes? Was it bad enough that you had to get out of it?
