What car or truck used the 385 series with this setup? I look at the march setup but wanted something more factory and less exspensive.

I have found an AC compressor that will be an upgrade replacement.

Any help would be appreciated.

My 79 f150 2wd,

Ac, altenator, power steering and water pump.

or

Just altenator and powersteering. using a electric water pump and no Ac.

The first will more than likely be the way I'm going. My brother is trying to talk me into keeping the Ac.

91 truck setup worked for me

I repalced the convoluted multiple drive belt setup with a two belt sepentine drive setup from a 1991 (460) truck. All of my accessories (alt, pwr steering, A/C) bolted up with no modifications. I installed an idler pulley kit in place of the stock air pump (sold through Mustang performance site) so I could use the stock size belts. Most of the parts I bought new from Ford but a few came out of the salvage yard.

If I can figure out ot post a picture of my setup, I will.

I would go boneyard shopping...

Any EFI 460 should have the parts you need...just go that route. Worst case, you might need to fabricate a mount for an idler pulley.

And, don't forget about water pump rotation direction; it's easy to get backwards when looking at serpentine pulleys, etc.
