508 pump gas, 89/93 oct fuel 99 oct slows it down

Stock block 4.420

Dished pistons

MSD Box

4.140 cast offset ground ford crank

D2 POLICE HEADS , ported

Hooker Headers,with flow master mufflers 3''

Stock dist,locked out @ 44 total tried 30 to 48,and diff fuel , 44 was best

Hyd cam, Flat tappet

stock waterpump

full ehx,to rear bumper w/h pipe 3''

alt,stock fan, pulleys etc

carter manuel fuel pump

stock fuel line

victor intake, One on it right now isnt ported

/\ < have tested a victor not ported, factory dual quad,dual plane,other single planes, perfomer rpm, and 1850 holley to 1250 cfm carbs on this engine . victor ported with a 4500 dom carb ran best.

this engine is in a 4400 lb car with driver

Leaving it in DRIVE it ran 12.36 best, thru the mufflers , just floor it

Drive it to the track,and home

Oh no you posted 44* total timing, the dyno racers are gonna jump on you about how an iron head doesn't need that much timing!:eek::rolleyes: Despite we have both seen the difference ignition lead makes going down the dragstrip.

One of the reasons I started posting some of these

IN FACT with any less timing it will slow down.

have another shortblock 508 like this for sale at this time

new pistons,rings not installed

pump gas
