D1VE block, studded, O decked, windage tray, 4.50 head gasket .041 , 466 cid ,H beam rods,srp pistons ,flat top -3cc dish. XR292R street roller cam, out of the box 72 cc TFS streets with springs for roller cam, C/R should be about 12.2-1, victor or the new TFS intake,950 carb, 1 7/8 headers. Can it do it ? :?

I'm not expert, but I don't think you'll be hitting 600 with that combo. Also, if you are anywhere near 600, those headers are WAY too small!

My friend recently had a 472 ci dyno'd that had less compression (11 to 1) and not as good of heads (his were D0VE's with 330/176 flow).

His cam was about the same and he had a dual plane two 4 barrel intake and it put out right at 600 hp.

Based on several other combos I've seen, I would think your combo hits 650 hp pretty easily.

My current combo with a smallish hyd flat tap cam,584 lift & 240 dur @ .050 out of the box RPM heads, dual plane RPM intake, 9.75-1 comp & a puny 750 carb , no windage tray, mech water pump , made 519.8 hp @ 5800 rpm & 540 ft lbs @3600. I would think the 2 1/2 point jump in C/R ,better flowing heads , single plane intake, 950 +cfm carb, & a decent solid roller cam spun to 7000 would get me there? If not what do I need for 650 hp?

Too late, already have the TFS . They will support the hp #'s I'm looking for.

I ran my dyno software & it says 627 hp @ 6000 & 614 ft lbs @ 4500 :roll:

Big Block if I am not wrong flat top with those heads should bring you about 10.7 to 1 or somewhere there about. correct me if I am wrong but to get 12.5 to 1 you need dome pistons? Charlie or someone chime in, the 3cc is just valve reliefs am I not correct?

i got 12.14 to 1

flat top w/3cc valve relief,4.5 x.041 head gasket,0 deck,72 cc chamber,4.390 bore x3.85 stroke .i figured it to be 12.14 to 1
