I say we start a post right now with feedback of our dealings on this auction block. Perhaps it can be made a sticky for a quick reference.

Some people I have worked with and had NO PROMBLEMS:

ThndrChkn and Paul Kane

I also make a suggestion you have X amount of post in the regular forum before you can use the Auction Block, that will stop a bunch of these non posters from just using the auction block as a place to get and sell without using the board..

I know there are a few here that have their stuff on like 10 different boards and never one post to help or give advice to the people....

just me

Maybe its just me, but it would be very helpful when a part is sold to have the poster go back and edit the subject line and add 'SOLD" for all the world to see. Saves the rest of us from having to look at the whole thread and get to the last post to discover the item is sold.

I know what you mean cougar. Someone will join and start selling parts instantly. The dont even bother to introduce themselves. ATLEAST ask a bunch of stupid questions like me before you take advantage of the free auction block

It doesn't bother me when you or anyone ask stupid questions, if we can help thats what we are here for and to cut up a little, make friends all over the world... I have ask afew silly questions also but thats why it is called learning.
I have made some great friends on here and cherish their friendship completely and talk to some of them regularly.

I think what Bluustang71 is talking about is people who take advantage of the forum, but there are always users and losers. I for 1 am just getting back into the high performance Ford scene after about 30 years. Things have really changed and I am lost. I have been helped by a lot of good advice on this forum even though I ask some dumb questions and have dealt with some great people on the auction block. I've met bbfstanger when I bought an engine off of him and rmcomprandy at the swap meet in Columbus, Ohio last Sunday. They are both great guys who are willing to share the knowledge that they have worked hard to get. I just hope I can help someone in the future but it may take a while.
In my opinion this forum is the best thing that has happened to Ford since the '385' was introduced.
Thanks,

I dont think he refers to the average guy on here with zero or very few posts who gets on the block and sells an intake or valve covers. Its the guys who have multiple posts in the block, like complete motors and such that just use it to sell their stuff and contribute nothing else when its obvious they probably could.

Then again there are deals to be had from these individuals that we might miss out on otherwise.

Kind of a double edged sword.

Majority of the users here are protective of our site and get mad when we see it abused or taken advantage of though.

There is really no bullet proof way to be sure that you can trust someone or wont get burnt... but overall most transactions go well on here. I figured we should start a post sharing all the positive ones we have had or people we have worked with. That way if someone is second guessing someone they will have a post to reference if that person has sold with success prior.

I agree that a area or section to list your experience with individual buyers would be a good idea. The auction block is good, but I'd hate for them to jam up an otherwise good flowing market place. I was wanting to add my experiences as well.

I purchased from both Waterslinger and Turbomont and both sales went great without a hiccup. Items were as advertised, arrived quickly and packaged well.

I think it would be great if everyone was required to fill out their profile before they are able to post.
Thanks Rich

I agree, then you wouldn't have to ask were the item was located they were selling.
