I have a new set of L&L headers for D3VE-A2A heads but the heads are now not useable. Does anyone know if these headers will work with an after market set of aluminum heads? if so which one? Also looking for some one to electroless nickel plate the headers if anyone knows where to get this done.

You need a set of heads with a standard ie non super cobra jet exhaust port configuration. I’m not sure if Edelbrock offers a set of heads with non SCJ ports or not.

You might try Advanced Plating in Nashville.

On the plating,I guess I am kind of an plating expert as I do all kinds of plating but smaller parts than headers. Electroless nickle and electro plate nickle are 2 different processes.Electroless is a thinner plate and the adhesion isn't that great, not suitable for headers, more of a decorative thing. True electro plate is better, better adhesion and the plate can be as thick as you want depending on the time spent in the tank.Nickle is super hard and almost scratch proof but it will blue at the heads eventually. The bare steel headers will have to be absolutely rust free and super, and I mean super clean before plating or you will end up with imperfections or delamination.Headers are big.Might be tough finding a commercial plater with big enough tanks.

seems like everyone I talk to has a different opinion of the processes used and the correct application. thank you for the info. would you be willing/able to quote the headers whether its electroless or electro plating?
