Well...... got the wifes fuel problem fixed from last weekend she ran hard beat some fast trucks she just needs to get some more seat time and she will be tough to beat! Me on the the other hand picked up the wifes fuel problem my truck kept dropping fuel pressure strong run to the corner make a perfect corner stand on it to go back and blah bla if would fall on its face. won a few races that way though:D At least after the track conditions both of our trucks drove on the trailer in one piece and dent less!

I will post some vids later off to wash the trucks.

Derrick
Well I have one video of Kasey's truck I have to get the others from my mother in law as soon as I do I will post them. Oh and notice the smoke dang front pump seal went out so the tranny gets to come out again:mad:

Found my fuel problem tonight pulled the pump out and it had some $hit in the screen so took a light and looked in the fuel cell and it has allot of little dirt looking stuff in the bottom...... The damn gasket for the cap was missing so I suppose after washing it last weekend it go dirt in it. I think what it was doing is in the corner it would stir that dirt up and suck it in the pump..... I hope anyway I will have to go do some donuts :D in my pasture after I get it back together and make sure it fixes it I have a points run this sat then my home town fair on sun.

Derrick
Derrick,

Sorry about your contamination problem. Been there before with a flush mounted fuel cell cap. Kasey's truck ran well fast in the straights! Just gotta get her to sign up for the "Derrick school of wide open U-turns!":D

We had a terrible race day. We ran out of good fuel and I forgot to rejet for the not so good fuel so we were too rich. Stumbled off the line, bad!. then the starter went out. Got a friend's hi-torque , threw it in AND IT MADE TWO STARTS AND QUIT!

We were way outclassed anyway so it was no real big loss having to compete with dual carbed, aluminum headed, trucks weighing 3000 lbs. They were pretty fast down through a real rough deep pit. Shallower and we would have a slight chance but it wasn't meant to be.

Critters, your pass looked good, fast and straight!

I'll post a vid up showing some of the trucks we were up against!

Hope anyone had a better time than us!!

See ya,

Thanks Jeff! Kasey really liked you comment on the driving school!:D Sorry to here about you bad luck this weekend! I too have fought the starter demons nothing worse than something as simple as that ruining your day! I hope everything turns around for both of us next weekend!

Derrick
Derrick, I had that exact same thing happen to me the other weekend, I was on the pass of a life time and it sputtered right out, coasted past the finish beam then it came back alive. Pull the screen out and it was pretty clogged up with junk, after a good cleaning the problem has dissapeared!!
Ditto on that same problem! Seems the least little bit of debris (mud especially) will hurt fuel pressure. The truck will idle and rev ok but when its loaded it drops quickly!! Had it a few times. Now i check the filters when I do my routine checks. Good lookin trucks Derrick!!

_Greg
Thanks Vamp! I went out in the pasture after the rain last night and really stood on my truck used a hay bale as a make shift corner slid around it pretty hard and got back in it wide open with no loss of fuel pressure!:D having a hell of a time getting the carb set where I want it this year but it's closer now.

Also got the wife tranny pulled tonight put in a new front pump bushing and seal, stuck it back in and no leaks hope it holds up to the test when I play with it tomorrow night.

Derrick
nice run for kasey dont know her but she was rollin
