This is long overdue kudos for Scotty.
He speced my 521 and sold me most of the parts. 814hp 758tq all before 6200rpm and a horrible PS carb. After a new carb and a year long of tuning a 3 circuit 1150 dominator carb this thing is a monster! Oh and 3 sets of drag radials. One of the biggest badest cars in town! 1969 Galaxie FB
THANK YOU!!

Really cool to see what can be done with pump gas without power adders on a setup that weighs about what an iron headed 351 weighs!!! All the ppl that try to say "oh those things are too heavy, they're too big..." Well they take up about the same space as the coyote swaps ppl are doing all over without the necessary $2000 for the computer that has to go with it!!! Yuppers this is my answer to everyone who wants to LS swap or coyote swap everything!!! Really awesome work as always Scotty!! Hat's off to ya's!!!

MP..........just curious why it made 758tq, compared to the 521 you built which made 660tq.

Bob,

SFT cam vs Roller and likely different dyno.

We had several years where the dyno was reporting incorrect torque readings do to a damaged impellor. Reading were light.

I would expect this combo on our local dyno to be 700 ish due to the roller cam

No i was referring to the build you did with the 521 for a 69 mustang it made 660tq 760hp with the 295 heads........it had more duration and more lift than this build............and this one used 1 7/8 headers on dyno.

I'm with ya about dif dyno's............some are happier than other's that's why i asked what it ran down the 1/4.

But if the customer is happy that's all that matters.

Cheers, Bob

Great engine and power numbers. Why a year long tuning ?
I’m on my second “custom for my application” carb
1st one got told yo go fly a kite and gave me my money back= stupid lean, super cheap product and no customer service
2nd way rich, tuning way off. Great carb after a couple strange problems but left on my own to figure the calibration. There isn’t much info out there on tuning a 3 circuit dominator other than converting it to a 2 circuit. Took awhile to find right info and I only have so much time to tune.
Funny thing is my dyno run was with first carb.
Dyno and real world do not go in the same sentence! Also tuned to run 93 with 10%ethanol and I’m thinking the ethanol is making it inconsistent when the air temps clime. So now trying straight 91, it’s close.
It’s a 1150 dominator

I've found with Bobby's help that street dominator applications benefit from longer booster venturi skirts.
Increased signal means jets respond to tuning.

I can’t get traction to give a real 1/4 time even with drag radials. I have aftermarket rear suspension to boot. Anyway I’m super happy no matter what it has!

my current carb had no t slot restrictors, the office was approx .110. I’m at .052 now, 46 idle jet, .040 intermediate and 100 mains. The mixture screws are super sensitive, 1/16 turn makes huge difference. Idle is still a bit strange but I’m trying straight gas to see if that improves.
