This is a 'Texas Music' singer named Robert Earl Keen. A lot of people don't realize there is a whole other genre of music called 'Texas Music' I love it! Artists like Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, Stoney Larue, Roger Creager, Aaron Watson, Corey Morrow, etc. The most popular one is Pat Green. It is a mix of country, rock and good old hometown dancehall Friday night music.

I love Pat Green. Been listening to him for probably 10 years or more. Before Wave on Wave and his other bigger hits. He came to a music festival in Chattanooga, TN called Riverbend about 5 years or so back. I thought hey I can watch some of the other bigger acts than flow right over to the stage he is on because nobody else knows who he is. Boy was I wrong got over there about 15 minutes before the show started and had to stand about 200 feet from the stage. The placed was packed and he puts on one a heck of a show. I love that "Texas outlaw" music like with Corey Morrow College Life reminds me of the good ole days. Anyone else that does not know about him needs to check out his site and listen to some of his music.

How about Roger Creager's 'everclear' song or Kevin Fowler's 'beer, bait and ammo'

cory morrow is one of my personal favorites as well. having lived just south of austin you see alot of up and coming bands on the scene. believe it or not, i remember seeing pat green for free, all the time. now its damn hard to get ahold of a ticket for pat after his big hits.

Oh Man you got this here northern boy all fired up with that music! Dam that's fun stuff! Kind of reminds me of my youth when uncle Ray would get drunk and toss the X-mass tree in there front yard the day before Christmas every dam year. It just wasn't christmas unless the whole dysfunctional family came over to patch things up and got drunk and started all over. Man were boring now.

I still like Pat Green, but I think his earlier music was better. He went off to Nashville and now he sounds like ordinary CMT music. His song 'take me out to a dancehall' is (in my opinion) one of his best songs. He won't re-release it nationally. I think it would be a #1 if he did.
