I can't find this in Milodon's information.

Does their 8 qt. oil pan take 8 qts including that in the filter, or is it in addition to that in the filter. In other words does it actually take closer to 9 qts?

Straight off Milodon's website:

"Pan Capacity is 8 Qts. Plus Filter -
91/2" Sump Depth, 91/2" Sump Length, 12" Sump Width"

This applies to 429/460 pan part # 30929 (front sump pan).

I didn't think about going to their website. The hard copy advertisement that I had just said 8 qts. I had assumed that it was in addition to the filter and had added an additional oil for the filter during break in, but just wanted to be sure I wasn't over full.
