Had to move the alternator mount on the race car. The old mounting place is now occupied by the crank trigger. Had to make a mount bracket and weld it to the frame and then fab up the adjuster. Made it so the vacuum pump and alternator use the same belt. Hope this is the last of the "engineering" that needs to go in buttugly. It's been over 1-yr since the motor was dynoed - I figure it's time to get the thing running.

In the past I have seen a number of super gas & bracket cars with alternators mounted in the same way because of space limits, so I would guess your setup should be OK.

If I remember correctly, an alternator (ford anyway) can be spun in either direction and still create juice, this increases the number of ways that they can be mounted.
