Hi Guys, i have been following the 385 forum for the last couple of months looking to buy an engine, did not find one suitable but found it very interesting reading and will contine to follow the 385 site as well as this one, i am currently getting a 608 cube engine built in United States,wich should be ready to dyno in the next couple of weeks ,i will put up some photos of the build in the next couple of days and keep anyone that is interested up to date with the build up,we are shooting for 900 + HP on pump gas,we will no the outcome soon. Am also trying to sell a 466 cube engine with cast iron cobrajet heads that made 647 HP,engine has 12.5 comp with a solid roller, engine has done less than 200 street kays, asking around $6000.[/b]

HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE ENGINE PARTS

Hi,engine should be complete within the next 10 days,will post the dyno figures when i have them and a pic of complete engine.

MOTOR IS NOW COMPLETE

WAS RUN IN THE OTHER DAY, WILL BE GETTING DYNOED ON MONDAY, WILL POST THE DYNO FIGURES AND PICTURES OF THE ENGINE.

HI, ENGINE WAS DYNOED TODAY ,THE BEST PULL ENGINE MADE WITHOUT THE SPRAY IS >

907.8 HP @6900 RPM
752.5 ftlb @6000 RPM

ENGINE WAS DYNOED ON PUMP FUEL, WILL HAVE TO WAIT TILL ENGINE IS IN THE CAR TO GIVE IT SOME JUICE AS IT WAS BUILT FOR NITROUS, FINAL COMP RATIO IS 9.3 , WILL POST DYNO SHEET WHEN I GET IT SCANNED ONTO THE COMPUTER.

Hi Theo, those hp/torque numbers are wild. What sort of car is it going in? Hopefully you'll have enough rubber to harness all that torque. Should make for an interesting ride.

HI, MONTE AT GREENS REPAIR AND MACHINE IN HAUXTON COLORADO BUILT THE ENGINE FOR ME,MONTE WAS ECELLENT TO DEAL WITH AND I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE THINKING OF BUILDING A BIG INCH FORD.

Just a quik question, if this motor made a little over 900 hp with a N2o cam and 9.3 cr, what if you had a N/A cam and say 11:1 cr would it be able to make close to 1000hp? From what i understand you leave some hp on the table when you run a N2o cam without the N2o on. Is this true? And i hope that you don't take this question the wrong way i was just wondering what the difference would be if it was not built for N2o. Motor sounds like its plenty now and with the N2o it will be a hand full. :D

HI, IF ENGINE HAD 11.1 COMP AND AN ASPIRATED CAM ENGINE SHOULD MAKE BETWEEN 970 - 1000 HORSEPOWER.
