Well, It's almost done, I'm trying to fit a 4 1/2 stage dry sump pump on the left side of the engine, it's tight.

Nice ride!!!! What size Hemi is that? Also some specs. Are they the old AR/A441 heads or C&C hemis? I am in the process of getting all my parts together to put a hemi together. I got a set of C&C hemi heads at Sykes Brothers Cylinder Heads being worked on. I agree with Chris share some specs & pics of the car.. Very Nice !! :D

Sorry Guys I'm only on the computer at work.

The engine is a A-block 4.600 bore 4.150 stroke lightweight crank, BME 6.800 rods, A441 Heads, W.W Eng. rockers, 4 1/2 stage Moroso dry sump.
The engine was built for NHRA Comp Elem. But with it taking me so looong to get the car and the engine done that the index has been hammered. So I guess it's back to Top Sportsman again.

Looks like it's going to be a fun ride. Ya gotta love how intimidating the engine looks with them big boss heads filling up the engine compartment.

Is the fresh work on the strut cap because you added some extra gussets to the top strut mount? Or did you play with the wheelbase stagger a little?

Jaw dropper, man I got to get me one of those under my hood. That is sweet, I wonder if I asked Mrs. Clause might bring me one of those under the tree next year if she was to win the lotto. LOL. Chris, now I understand why you want a hemi.

Wow, Thanks guys ! I've owned the car for 13 years. The engine is about the best I could put together. I've been racing these 385's for a looong time now. (started in 1986). This engine is pretty, let's hope for 2.0 hp per CI. :)

I started the major update about 4 1/2 years ago. I had enough at trying to keep a set of DOVE heads screwed on, with about a 600 hp shot of NOS. The Comp idea started (B/AA) when I purchased 2 sets of A/R hemi heads from Pro Mod racer Wayne Torkelson. He ran them dry with a super charger, So the heads needed major work, along with the car. I spent $15,000 and major man hours on updating the body and the chassis. A 25.1E spec. on a 17 year old Pro Stock car is tough. (I should have listened to Jerry Haas's shop foreman, sell the car and have a new pro stock Escort built!!) But I think a '88 Thunderbird makes for one hell of a classy race car.
