Well i'm very happy, as i will be starting work again on Friday after a month and a half off. I'm going back to my old mine (which collapsed 2 months ago)
I had an offer to go somewhere else but it was a short term job.
I will be the electrician on site for care and maintenance, so i'll not be busy whatsoever. Its under C&M for at least another couple of months till they fix the Main Pillar collapse, Then ideally, and i think they will, go back to pullin ore out of the ground. There was still 2 ore bodies that we were pulling from and they were diamond drilling deeper and found a couple more ore bodies deeper. I dont think after they spend the money to fix the problem, which is an environmental concern, they're going to leave Billions of dollars just sitting there, with the closings costs and environmental regeneration program...EVERYTHING has to be bulldozed on surface and planted back to trees. We pulled on average 3000 tons of ore out a day, and at $5 per pound ish and being the only nickel mine sustaineable below $5 i think it'll bode well for that little mine. I'm starting to get long winded but i'm pumped to get back at it and make some real money again. $800 every 2 weeks doesnt cut it.

oh yeah.. i dont wanna work in the mines but the 100k is really hard to turn down. I want to start my own company eventually but this will do for the next couple of years till i get the wedding over with, the house finished, and the pullin truck built. In that order. (i was told) well actually the truck wasnt on her list...i just added that.

You guys a shaft or a ramp operation?

shaft and on the 5300 to 6800 level it was all ramps
Little trucks and little scoops then? or Rail?

We're all ramp, and not very deep in the ground. 1400 feet to the bottom (so far)
we use 45 ton trucks (and 1 50 ton), and 11 yard scoops. Those are impressive machines. 2 980 cat loaders cant hardly budge what an 11 yard can load in a truck
