We picked up a couple of Fairlanes for Ellen to work with......

You can see Ellen behind the cars doing what we do best. Drinking Beer.

The maroon car has a sludged up 289 "special" in it. The white car has a 68 302 that somebody cobbled an EFI intake onto and made it run. Sorta. :?

The white car is a Flintstone mobile, and the maroon car is solid as a rock from what I can see. We should be able to make one nice driver out of the two, and the leftovers would make a good tubbed out race car.

I'm tossing around the idea of a nice baby boomer cruiser with EFI, AOD, AC, rack and pinion steering, disc brakes, and killer stereo.

Or, a Thunderbolt clone with a knuckle dragging stroker 460. Or Both. 8)

Suggestions???

Whatever we end up with will be for sale to finance my wife's lack of desire to be employed.

Hey, Dog,

I worked daylights today. 12 hour shifts. This is Ellen's gig. She has been looking over the raw materials to see what we have to work with. She turned this ......

Hey D,

YOU need to get in the garage!!! Maybe cletus will let you borrow Ellen to come over and help ya out   But Cletus, with Ellen turning out those cars, do you really want her to get a job? If my wife would go out to the garage and start working on the cars, I would gladly go to work after the hardon went away!!!

right..

You're right stangr8cr. I hope she never gets a "real" job again. 8) It would be really sweet if I could quit too, and we could just do this for a living. But I know after about 6 months I'd be missing my regular job, because I'm a lazy SOB.

Dang Jeff, I want to come live with yall. You build nice shops, buy cool cars, build cool cars, & drink beer.. It don't get no better than that. I hope you told whoever did the wiring on the EFI motor what a nice looking job he did.. Cool cars though!!!

Are you & Ellen going to make the tech seminar? Also on Jan. 5 Dave Morgan is having a chassis seminar in Richmond. Any chance you would be off work & attend?

Chris,

Hi Chris, this is our first attempt at turning a buck on a car. We are already having creative differences. I'm thinking Rad Rides by Troy, and she wants to clean it , scuff it , paint it, and sell it.

I'm doing the typical gearhead "while we're here" thing, and she wants to know how we are going to pay for AC, rack and pinion steering, a bad *** stereo, an aluminum stroker FE Tunnel Port with a G-Force 5 speed, and , and, and, ........Well there I go. That is why she walked out of the garage and left me standing there like the dumbass that I am. :?

I won't make it to the tech seminar, but January may be a go.

I hope we can reach some kind of compromise on this. Maybe we can do like the motorcycle guys, and film it. Cuss each other, drink beer, have a lot of drama, and get rich. We wouldn't have to actually build anything would we??
