My fresh rebuilt 460 with a Holley (80gph I think) fuel pump has a small amount of oil forming and dripping off the bottom of the fuel pump. Does not appear to be leaking out of the gasket were the fuel pump is mounted to the engine. Also looks like some oil possibly sprayed on bit of the front cover near the fuel pump.
But looks dry around the spacer where it goes into the front cover.

Any ideas, could oil be leaking out of the fuel pump??? Would this mean it's getting into the fuel???!

Thanks mat

Is it a Holley 12-860? It looks like you could take it apart like you were rotating the bottom and inspect the diaphram. Make sure you check your oil for gas as well.

Thanks, I'm wondering if is actually gas that's collecting or gas residue, sort of the consistency and color of dark honey. Originallythought it was oil, and was sticky since I still have my Joe Briggs break in oil for a couple hundred miles.

Thanks
