I bought a 460 fkr another project I am building, and tore it down today.

I can't seem to find these pistons, or the specs on them. On the top they have a D4 ford part number, and on the bottom is TRW.
It's a pretty shallow dish compared to the standard dish pistons.

I believe this came from a jet boat. Rods are Dooe with football rod bolts.

Any idea what these pistons are, and how big the dish comes out to be? If they are TRW maybe forged??

The D4AE indicates an intermediate part. The rest indicates piston and revision.

If I were to venture a guess I'd say that is a TRW forged 460 Police interceptor piston that could just as easily found its way into a marine application.

A KB 206 or an Icon would be an equivalent.

Scott,

Thanks for your input! If it's about 15cc dish, maybe these will make a nice pump gas set up! Currently working over the D3s see what we can do!

Should be a 1.760" CH.

Run them at or near 0 deck. 10.290" with a 92 cc chamber for about 9 to 1 static. That will be fine on 87.
