I have a 545 short block with P51 pistons. Can I re-cut the valve pockets for A460 heads? I don't remember off the top of my head how much lift, but I don't think it was crazy (maybe .750?). I want to run a pump gas setup.

That depends entirely on the piston blank used.
Best to contact the manufacturer to be sure.
