Does anyone know what Ford Crown Victoria (police interceptor) axles are? Are they a 9-inch Ford, or are they and 8.8-inch Ford?

And would a Crown Victoria axle be strong enough to use with a 500 HP Ford 520 cu. in. stroker and C6 trans?

Should be fine stock, if you don't have t-brake.
Or slicks, or any traction adding suspension, and don't mind your wheels falling off on the strip.

An 8.8 is basically a chevy 10 bolt with a ford oval stamped on it (they even use the same axle bearings and seals as well as setup procedures and about everything else. side by side you can't really tell them apart and we all know how well that diff works for the chev buys.)

You mean the same as chevy's 12 bolt.

If you are going to hit it hard, it could use some upgrades. Axles and a C-clip eliminator would good start.
I guess will the torque a 520 incher will make, that stuff wouldn't be a bad idea.
